Is this one of the worlds best Champagnes, or one of the worlds most over-rated Champagnes? I don't really know. It is certainly one of the most popular. Every time I try it I really like it, the quintessential fruity, elegant, dry, sophisticate bubbly. But hey I remember when this was a $35 wine!!?! Perhaps it should be in the category of "Best Champagne When Someone Else is Buying".
Well no matter how you categorize it, the Veuve is always a treat.
